Meeting: AI for collagen fibers.
At the meeting held on Friday 20th of May, we have agreed on the following:
- regarding automatic segmentation of the collagen images, we have agreed to organize a separate meeting to discuss technical details and formulate precise requirements for the segmentation algorithm.
We have agreed:
- to develop custom functions for preprocessing and analysis of the images of tissue samples and to integrate them into the universal information system.
- to continue the development of an approach for determining the structural complexity of an image. We shall try to use the complexity measure to quantify the degree of damage done to the tissue samples by exposure to the ionizing radiation. The secondary benefit would be the ability to automatically detect sufficiently different subsets of acquired data that require manual investigation.
- to organize a separate meeting of the Bio-Medical part of the team to discuss possibilities of how to enhance tissue staining techniques, and alternative tissue identification approaches.
